Model Overview:

The Changan Land Explorer is positioned as a “pioneering and exploring future pickup truck.” As Changan Automobile’s first Blue Whale-powered pickup truck, it is a heavyweight model that combines Changan’s global research and development advantages. With its product strength of being “tough and comfortable,” it has created a new category of all-scenario pickups, leading the new trend of pickups in China.

Vehicle Naming:

The name “Land Explorer” carries three significant meanings. Firstly, it represents the brand’s spirit of continuous exploration and courage. Secondly, it symbolizes the Land Explorer’s breakthrough in traditional pickup truck design, opening up different application scenarios, being versatile for all domains and scenarios. Thirdly, it implies widening life’s horizons together with users, appreciating the magnificent landscapes.

Changan’s latest generation infotainment system is deeply customized with exclusive smart features tailored for pickups. Combined with the joint chassis tuning by international hardcore off-road experts and comprehensive electronic driver assistance systems, it offers a driving experience that surpasses previous pickups. The vehicle is equipped with four high-definition wide-angle cameras with a resolution of 1280/960 pixels, totaling 1.2 million pixels. Integrated with 360° HD panoramic imaging, 180° pickup perspective chassis, and dashcam functions, it provides a panoramic view of the surroundings in real time, offering a broader driving vision and excellent maneuverability for driving and parking. Developed jointly by Changan’s Detroit Research Center and PSA, with tuning efforts from hardcore off-road chassis experts such as Dodge and Raptor, the quality is guaranteed. The double wishbone independent front suspension and five-link integral bridge rear suspension provide both the loading capacity of a pickup truck and the comfort of an SUV, achieving dual-purpose functionality. With standard axes of 28° approach angle, 26° departure angle, and 225mm unloaded ground clearance; long axes of 28° approach angle, 27° departure angle, and 230mm unloaded ground clearance; HAC hill start assist system and HDC hill descent control function, it effortlessly achieves superior off-road performance. The ESC vehicle stability system integrates ABS anti-lock braking, EBD brake force distribution, HBA emergency brake assist, ESS emergency brake warning, TCS traction control system, and AYC lateral stability control, ensuring quick response, high stability, and effective prevention of vehicle skidding in emergency situations, thus ensuring vehicle safety. With three-mode electronic power steering, cruise control system, lane departure warning, and other driving assistance functions, it offers easy and convenient driving.
