Haval H9

The Haval H9 is Haval’s first high-end off-road SUV, featuring a non-bearing pure off-road body, bold and rugged styling, and upgraded luxury interior.

The 2022 model of the Haval H9 was launched on September 15, 2021. It is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged direct-injection engine paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, fully complying with the China VI emission standards. It comes with front and rear axle electronic control mechanical differential locks and a central multi-plate clutch, providing off-road performance features such as low-speed off-road cruise, tank turn, all-terrain control system, and intelligent electronic control four-wheel drive.

On April 25, 2024, Great Wall Haval, along with the new generation of Haval H9 and other star models, made their debut at the 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

Description

Exterior: The 2022 model of the Haval H9 embodies classic rugged design aesthetics, with a vertical and three-dimensional aesthetic stance that exudes a commanding presence between heaven and earth. The waterfall-style grille significantly enhances recognition, while redesigned fog lamp areas, adorned with chrome trim, contribute to the overall robust and wild appearance.

Interior: The new model features a fully digital instrument panel paired with a four-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The central control multimedia screen adopts an embedded design and incorporates a new 12.3-inch infotainment system. Some physical buttons are retained in the lower central area of the center console, while the electronic gear lever adopts a yacht-style design. The overall style and color scheme of the center console lend an air of solidity to the new vehicle.

Seating Space: The Haval H9 2022 model offers two layouts: the luxurious five-seater and seven-seater options, both designed to prioritize the comfort and spaciousness of rear passengers. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with heating and ventilation features.

Technological Features: The vehicle is equipped with dual map systems from Tencent and Gaode Maps, providing users with different route options. Users can also select navigation software according to their preferences. It comes with the Tencent TAI3.0 ecosystem, offering users comprehensive online services. The onboard WeChat feature allows for location sharing, team travel coordination, and even inter-vehicle communication, providing users with an emotionally interactive voice interaction experience. The voice and facial recognition system offers intelligent and thoughtful services. By recognizing the driver’s facial expressions and behavior, it can activate features such as screen illumination, active noise reduction during phone calls, fatigue/distraction reminders, and gesture-controlled music/radio switching during driving.

Safety Features: The Haval H9 2022 model is equipped with a Vehicle Stability Control system, featuring functions such as secondary collision mitigation and dynamic torque control, which enhance braking capability and reduce noise. Additionally, it comes with features like Hill Descent Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Active Braking.

The 2022 Haval H9 adopts a high-rigidity body structure, with a proportion of high-strength steel reaching 62.75%, providing solid support for the vehicle’s torsional resistance and safety performance.

In addition to standard safety features such as a built-in dashcam, tire pressure monitoring system, seat belt reminder, and child seat interfaces, the Haval H9 2022 model also offers an Adaptive Cruise Control system with stop-and-go functionality, alleviating fatigue during long drives.

The Haval H9 2022 model features an Automatic Emergency Braking system with pedestrian detection. In emergency situations, the vehicle issues warnings and, if the driver fails to react in time, applies emergency braking to reduce the likelihood of accidents.

Off-road Features: The 2022 Haval H9 is equipped with an intelligent electronic control four-wheel drive system, with torque capacity increased from 850 N·m to 1200 N·m, enhancing durability, stability, and reducing overheating protection frequency, especially in complex road conditions. The front and rear differential locks and central controller are provided, along with a full-terrain control system covering modes such as sand, snow, mud, and 4L.

The vehicle also features upgraded components like steel hinge chains on the rear door, enhancing durability and reliability in extreme off-road conditions.

Powertrain: Powered by a 2.0T engine, the Haval H9 2022 model delivers a maximum output of 224 horsepower and a maximum torque of 385 N·m. It is paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system with increased torque capacity.
