“Shark Hunting” Front Face Design Layout + Digital Dynamic Grille: The new generation of MG family front face centers around an inverted three-dimensional grille. The primary feature is the “inverted” design, with sharp angles lowering the center of gravity, presenting a low-profile stance that achieves the most identifiable graphic in its class. The “three-dimensionality” comes from the grille’s extension of three-dimensional surfaces, filling the entire front face and maximizing the visual volume of the grille. The vertical grille incorporates the latest parametric design methods.
The new MG design language breaks away from the traditional nine-grid structure of household cars. Its front face is itself a large opening, with the grille firmly embedded within it, with the black grille area far exceeding the body color area. Apart from two fang-like surfaces supporting the turn signal area, there are no other trivial details. At the same time, the grille is completely separated from the headlights, giving the front end a downward pressure, which is a layout technique reminiscent of a sports car. From the side view, the large opening design compresses the visual length of the front overhang, making the overall proportions more compact and sporty.
Grille Component Design: The grille frame of the MG Leading is a completely independent component, providing space for color customization.
Strongly Pressed Sports Car Attitude: The quickly pressed front end is the most significant feature of the MG Leading’s side profile. It lowers the highest point of the front end, creating a significant position difference between the headlights and the grille; simultaneously, it elongates the side profile of the vehicle, presenting a more slender appearance different from the traditional SUV’s heavy and high fuel consumption perception.
Super-powered Byte Headlights: The headlight graphics enhance the expression of a digital feel. The DRLs are located on the upper part of the headlights, evenly lit, with the edge of the hood fitting above the light guide. Compared to past designs emphasizing a biological feel with round headlights, this strongly electric digital gaze is clearer and more straightforward. By deemphasizing organic elements and removing redundant styling semantics, the graphics are highly simplified and abstract, representing a trend in future automotive design. The bottom LED reflector headlight unit is composed of four units, reminiscent of the orderly modules in computer chips; the switching method of the reflector units also metaphorically represents the most basic unit, the bit, in the digital world, further strengthening the expression of digital technological sense.
Energy-gathering Beam Taillights: The most striking feature of the taillights is the solid-shaped lights, resembling energy blocks of future mechs embedded in the light base. The energy emitted points to the MG logo in the center of the rear, with a strong sense of direction in the graphics. The details inside the lights progress in layers, reinforcing this focused form.
Side Blade Turn Signals: The turn signals of the MG Leading naturally integrate into the openings on both sides of the front face, like hidden blades, further enhancing the aggressive and menacing stance of the front face. Each set of turn signals is composed of two delicate light guides.
