The BYD Song can be considered as a dual-model variant of the BYD S3. It is positioned as a compact SUV with new energy capabilities. In terms of appearance, it features an X-shaped front face, giving it a sporty look. On the side of the vehicle, it adopts a hidden A/B/C-pillar design, creating a floating roof visual effect. The dimensions of the BYD Song are 4565/1830/1703mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2660mm.

In terms of power, the BYD Song will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain system consisting of a 1.5T engine and two electric motors. The two electric motors are located on the front and rear axles, enabling four-wheel drive functionality. Additionally, the pure electric range of the BYD Song is 70km, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds.

In the interior, the BYD Song features some slanted designs and chrome accents, creating a dynamic atmosphere. The bottom of the steering wheel is marked with a red “Song” logo, highlighting the identity of the vehicle. However, according to insiders, the final interior design may undergo significant changes.

In terms of features, some variants of the BYD Song will be equipped with a panoramic imaging system, a large-sized multimedia screen, a multifunction steering wheel, an electronic parking brake, automatic air conditioning, and other equipment.

As for the interior space, a tester with a height of 173cm sat in the front seat, and even with the seat lowered to its lowest position, there was still about four fingers of headroom, which is considered average. In the rear seat, the same tester had about four fingers of headroom and knee space that could accommodate two fists.
