AION LX

The Guangzhou Aion AION LX is positioned as a “luxury intelligent supercar SUV” within the Aion lineup. It commenced production in September 2019 and was officially launched on October 17, 2019. It represents a flagship model within the Aion series and serves as a guiding luxury technology product in the development of the Chinese electric vehicle market. The AION LX is equipped with the newly released Guangqi New Energy Adigo autonomous driving system, making it the world’s first mass-produced SUV model with L3 level autonomous driving capability. With a NEDC range exceeding 600km, the AION LX is a pure electric SUV.

On April 16, 2019, Guangqi New Energy debuted the AION LX, its new flagship model, at the 2019 Shanghai International Auto Show in Hall 8.2, under the theme “Enjoying Technological Advancements Ahead of Time.”

On November 3, 2020, the AION LX underwent technological evolution, achieving advancements in intelligence, performance, and service.

Description

The AION LX is a new electric SUV model under Guangqi New Energy, built on the second-generation pure electric exclusive platform, GEP (GAC Electric Platform). With a layout centered around battery and electric drive, it maximizes passenger cabin space while minimizing engine compartment space. The AION LX boasts a leading 2900mm wheelbase in its segment, combined with the “Whale Space” design concept, creating a spacious interior that leads its class. The AION LX is the first to be equipped with the CDC full-time adaptive damping system.

Featuring a cold-bent dual-screen setup and Aion family-style dual-spoke steering wheel design, the AION LX comes with the world’s first full-fit cold-bent 12.3-inch dual-curved screen with a bending angle of nearly 168°. It is equipped with a premium sound system paired with high-end brand speakers and comes with a unique fragrance system. The interior of the vehicle also features top-grade Nappa leather seats, suede headliner, genuine aluminum IP trim, among other premium materials.

The AION LX is the first to incorporate Guangqi Group’s latest intelligent technology achievement, the ADiGO (Intelligent Driving and Connectivity) ecosystem, making it the world’s first mass-produced SUV with L3-level autonomous driving capability. This system includes the ADiGO autonomous driving system 3.0 and ADiGO intelligent connectivity system 3.0, as well as the one-touch remote parking feature for all scenarios.

Highlighted Features

The AION LX is equipped with China’s pioneering front and rear integrated dual three-in-one high-performance permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a combined maximum power of 300 kW. It achieves a NEDC comprehensive range of over 600 km, with 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.9 seconds. With a peak torque of 700 N·m, it boasts power output comparable to that of a supercar’s 8-cylinder engine.

Luxurious Spaciousness Based on the principles of luxurious human-machine symbiosis aesthetics, the AION LX continues the design philosophy of maximizing passenger space on the pure electric exclusive platform. It features a 2920mm ultra-long wheelbase and a dedicated platform with a flat floor, along with second-row seat electric leg rests, enhancing the overall spaciousness and luxury experience of the vehicle.

650km Range The AION LX is the first pure electric vehicle with a NEDC range of 650 km. Its exceptionally long range performance can meet the needs of users for inter-city commuting, self-driving trips, and other complex real-world driving scenarios.
