Overall, the space in the ix35 is quite good. The seating position in the front row is relatively high, with ample head and legroom. In the top configuration model, the seats can be manually adjusted for height, front-back position, and backrest angle, although the seat cushion angle cannot be adjusted, which may not suit everyone’s preferred driving posture.

The rear space of the ix35 is distinctive. Thanks to its good wheelbase, there is about two fists’ worth of legroom, allowing even tall passengers over 185cm to sit comfortably. However, headroom is somewhat limited, and a person of 178cm in height can barely fit their head. Taller individuals might need to adjust their seating position to make room for their head by relying more on legroom. Additionally, the center seat in the rear row lacks a headrest, making the overall seating experience less comfortable than the front row, although the backrest angle can be adjusted.

Storage compartments inside the ix35 are not abundant but are spacious. The space under the center console is suitable for storing phones and wallets, the glove compartment is not large but orderly, and the armrest box opens intelligently with an ideal depth of over 25cm. There are bottle holders in all four doors, a very user-friendly design. Besides, there are some small storage spaces available.

The ix35’s trunk space is moderate and does not stand out particularly.
