The BYD Seagull continues some of the design aesthetics inspired by the ocean, featuring distinct angular lines. Its LED daytime running lights are designed in parallel lines, with turn signals positioned at the ‘corners of the eyes,’ while the center boasts integrated LED headlights for both high and low beams, complete with automatic open-close and automatic high-beam functions. According to IT Home, this compact car comes in four exterior color options, named ‘Sprout Green,’ ‘Midnight Black,’ ‘Peach Pink,’ and ‘Warm Sun White,’ each offering a unique style.

The Seagull comes standard with front and side airbags for both driver and passenger, as well as front and rear curtain airbags, ESP electronic vehicle stability system, and EPB electronic parking brake. The version tested also features advanced intelligent driving assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and lane departure warning.

In terms of power, based on the BYD e Platform 3.0, the Seagull is equipped with a brand-new three-in-one motor specially designed by BYD for it, with a maximum power of 55 kW and maximum torque of 135 N•m. There are two versions of range available: 305 km and 405 km, corresponding to battery capacities of 30.08 kWh and 38.88 kWh respectively.
