Development History: On November 17, 2023, at the 21st Guangzhou Auto Show, Changan unveiled the world’s first super-long-range pickup truck – Changan Hunter, creating a sensation. On December 22, 2023, pre-sales officially began. The new vehicle offers three versions and eight models. On March 1, 2024, the global launch conference for the world’s first super-long-range pickup truck, Changan Hunter, was held in Chongqing. Changan Hunter introduced three versions – Warrior, Knight, and Armor, totaling eight models.

Exterior Design: Changan Hunter adopts the brand-new “Hunter” design language, drawing inspiration from the attacking posture of predators in the natural world, showcasing the beauty of dynamic motion. The front face features a shark-nose design, creating a sense of instant explosive power and forward momentum. The “Hunter Shadow” grille is composed of borderless digital dot matrices, blending technology with a sense of wild beauty. The narrow and sharp headlights exude a fierce and dignified aura, while the unique LED emblem further enhances the recognition of the front face.

Interior: The interior adopts a wrap-around cockpit and two-tone design. The flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel is paired with a 12.3-inch integrated dual-screen display. The screen is designed with an 8.1° curvature and slightly tilted towards the driver’s side, integrating deeply customized pickup-exclusive functions into the infotainment system. Equipped with an 8-core MT8666 chip, capable of achieving 200 trillion neural computations per second, it creates a good technological atmosphere and facilitates user-friendly operation for the driver. Additionally, the car features a through-type air conditioning vent, along with an exaggeratedly styled armrest and a console-mounted gear shifter, providing not only a premium feel but also functionality and driving comfort.

Dual-motor peak torque of 470 N·m for a more powerful driving experience: Changan Hunter utilizes a super-range extender composed of a generator with a peak output of 100 kW and a Changan Blue Whale 2.0TGDI engine. Driven by dual motors, the motor has a peak power of 200 kW, achieving a peak torque of 470 N·m and a wheel-end torque of 5000 N·m. With a starting response time of just 0.4 seconds, it achieves 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds.
2.0T Blue Whale range extender with a net power of 140 kW: It acts as a large “power bank” with continuous energy output, supporting energy replenishment as low as 8% in less than 20 minutes. This meets the requirements for continuous climbing and supports energy replenishment in all scenarios.
31-degree battery capacity combined with super-range technology for lower operating costs: Equipped with a 70L fuel tank and a 31.18 kWh battery, Changan Hunter achieves a comprehensive range of up to 1031 kilometers when fully fueled and charged, even in hot and humid conditions such as Hainan. It achieves a water wading depth of up to 800 mm in off-road adaptability tests. With a comprehensive fuel consumption of only 1.3L/100km, it significantly saves travel expenses for users.
Five major high-safety battery protections and a unique “cage-type” battery collision protection structure: By “hiding” the battery within the vehicle body, it effectively prevents collision compression and battery impact, ensuring worry-free safety in any situation. Additionally, due to the simple structure of the super-range extender, it has a relatively lower failure rate, providing peace of mind and excellent user experience.
Maximum 227-degree reserve power and 3.3 kW super discharge for outdoor use: Changan Hunter is equipped with all-scenario outdoor discharge function, featuring a 3.3 kW high-power discharge panel, dual 220V sockets, and a maximum reserve power of 227 degrees, which can supply power for over 100 hours for appliances exceeding 2000W. When the external discharge power is depleted, Changan Hunter can be refueled directly for continued energy replenishment, providing convenience for various scenarios such as engineering operations, cargo transportation, commuting, leisure travel, outdoor camping, and personalized off-road adventures.
