The GAC GEPow55, built on the GPMA architecture, is a sedan with a sporty focus, adopting the latest design language of the brand and offering two design options for consumers to choose from. In terms of power, the car initially comes equipped with the new Juli Power 1.5T engine, with a possible future addition of a 2.0T version.
The GEPow55 is powered by the new third-generation 1.5T GDI engine, delivering a maximum power output of 130 kW and peak torque of 270 N·m. It incorporates GCCS technology, which integrates features such as dual-channel turbocharging, top-mounted water-cooled intercooling, high-pressure injection, large inertia balance shaft, intelligent thermal management, and low-friction technology, achieving a fuel consumption as low as 5.7L/100km. The transmission boasts a transmission efficiency of up to 96% and a shift time of only 0.2 seconds. In the 0-100km/h acceleration test, it achieved a fastest time of 6.95 seconds. Supported by the GPMA architecture, the GEPow55 achieves a minimum center of gravity of 550mm for the independent brand, a drag coefficient as low as 0.26cd, and over 66.5% application of high-strength steel. Combined with the excellent lightweight design capability of the GPMA architecture, it achieves a combination of safety and lightweight construction.
The GAC GEPow55 is equipped with four commonly used driving modes: Comfort mode, ECO mode, Sport mode, and Sport+ mode. In Sport+ mode, the vehicle not only supports launch control, but also has faster gear shifts and reduced power loss, resulting in an approximate 1-second improvement in acceleration compared to normal starts. The official zero to one hundred acceleration time for the GAC GEPow55 GEPow55 1.5T model is 6.95 seconds.
