The interior design of the all-new second-generation GS8 is centered around the concept of “Diamonds and Shadows,” combining rhombus and hexagon shapes to create diamond-cut surfaces that refract light in changing rhombus shapes.
Long Wheelbase + Large SUV Grid: Thanks to the GPMA architecture L platform, the all-new second-generation GS8 boasts a sturdy and upright posture with new proportions. The vehicle’s dimensions are 4980/1950/1780mm (5015mm for the Dual-Engine series), with a wheelbase of 2920mm. The longer wheelbase and wider body provide a greater sense of luxury in appearance and a more flexible and versatile spatial experience.
Flexible Seating Layout: The all-new second-generation GS8 offers a choice of 6/7 seat layouts to meet the needs of different users. With a 2+2+2 seat layout, inheriting the advantages of the GAC MPV cabin, the third row is flexible for easy access. With a 2+3+2 seat layout, the second row features electric EZE seats for easy one-touch access, providing the largest third-row access space in its class.
Second-Row “Queen Recliner”: The second-row seats feature 8-stage adjustable backrests with a range of 131°, creating a second-row “Queen Recliner” and a combined “bed” with the first row. Additionally, the second row has an exceptionally long 140mm sliding distance, creating unbeatable legroom for the second row, allowing for easy leg-crossing.
Comprehensive Quiet NVH Technology: The all-new second-generation GS8 features sound-absorbing materials in 42 locations throughout the vehicle, with acoustic partitions designed in 32 key areas, including soundproof pads in the front fender area, full-surround chassis underbody shield design, and expanded welding sealant at the body structure joints, using high-loss factor environmentally friendly damping and vibration isolation materials. Furthermore, to reduce wind noise, the second-generation GS8 adopts three-layer sound-insulating and noise-reducing glass, three-layer door seals, and full-coverage chassis underbody shields for noise insulation and reduction. This achieves noise suppression performance superior to its peers at different speeds:
- Idle: In-cabin noise for the driver’s ear is 36dB
- 60 km/h: In-cabin noise for the driver’s ear is 57dB
- 80 km/h: In-cabin/external noise for the driver’s ear is 60dB
- 120 km/h: In-cabin/external noise for the driver’s ear is 67.4dB
