Lantu FREE is positioned as an intelligent and spacious five-seater SUV for leisure and travel. It is equipped with Lantu Motors’ MVP multi-scenario power solution, offering both pure electric and range-extended electric powertrain options.

The range-extended electric model features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder range extender coupled with a high-efficiency generator rated at 60 kW. This combination offers high performance and low fuel consumption. While catering to users primarily commuting in urban areas with convenient charging conditions, the range-extended electric model also meets the needs of users for medium to long-distance travel or in situations where charging is not readily available. It comprehensively addresses users’ concerns regarding range anxiety and charging inconvenience.

Highlighted Features

Lantu FREE’s range-extended version is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a maximum power of 80 kW generator. The combined power of the front and rear dual motors reaches up to 510 kW, with a peak torque of 1040 N·m. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 4.5 seconds for the range-extended version, 4.7 seconds for the pure electric version, and 4.4 seconds for the long-range pure electric version. The vehicle’s body adopts aerodynamic design, with a coefficient of drag of 0.28cd. It features front double wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension, using full aluminum alloy material. The vehicle’s configuration also includes 12-way power-adjustable front seats, seat ventilation, heating, massage functions, and a high-fidelity audio system from Dynaudio.

The new Lantu FREE smart driving system is upgraded to Baidu Apollo Highway Driving Pro navigation-assisted intelligent driving, with advanced intelligent driving capabilities integrating driving and parking. The entire series comes standard with four-wheel drive system and air suspension, using a 1.5T deep Miller cycle range extender. The comprehensive CLTC range reaches 1201 km, with a pure electric range of 210 km, and the peak power is increased to 110 kW. The new Lantu FREE model adds a Dark Green color option, removes the one-key start function, equips with dual 50W wireless charging for mobile phones, and adds a rear-seat function control screen.
