The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro comes with two engine options: the SQRF4J16 and SQRF4J20, which deliver maximum net power of 136.5 kW and 180 kW, respectively. Based on this, the new model will be available with two powertrain options: a 1.6T and a 2.0T, with maximum power outputs of 197 horsepower and 254 horsepower. The 2.0T model will feature a four-wheel drive system.
In addition to the gasoline-powered version, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, targeted at a younger audience, will also offer a hybrid version equipped with the Kunpeng DHT system. Leveraging the core technology advantages of “3 engines, 3 gears, 9 modes, and 11 speeds,” it promises a more reassuring and ultimate driving experience. The “3 engines” refer to a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.5T hybrid dedicated engine and dual electric motors, enabling simultaneous driving and power generation by both motors. With three physical gears, it covers 11 different driving scenarios to ensure efficient power output and strike a balance between power and fuel consumption under various conditions.
Regarding fuel consumption, based on the new vehicle declaration information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro has reported three different fuel consumption standards: 7.39 L/100km, 7.49 L/100km, and 7.89 L/100km, depending on the powertrain configuration and the presence of the four-wheel drive system.
