The new generation Passat comes with a range of powertrains:

1. EA211 1.4TSI turbocharged engine, with a rated power of 110kW/5,000±200rpm and maximum torque of 250Nm/(1,750-3,000)±200rpm.
2. Third-generation EA888 efficient version 2.0TSI engine, with a rated power of 137kW/4,100 – 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 320Nm/1,500-4,000rpm.
3. Third-generation EA888 high-power version 2.0TSI engine, with a rated power of 162kW/4500-6250rpm and maximum torque of 350Nm/1500-4500rpm.

For the fuel version models, the new Passat continues to offer three powertrain options: 1.4TSI (280TSI), 2.0TSI low-power (330TSI), and 2.0T high-power (380TSI), with maximum powers of 150 horsepower, 186 horsepower, and 220 horsepower respectively. All models are equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additionally, the new car will also offer a model equipped with a 1.4T plug-in hybrid system, paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

In terms of safety, the new generation Passat adopts a newly developed body structure with an ultra-high-strength steel proportion of 84%. It features a Heads-Up Display (HUD), RTA reverse out parking assist system, Area View panoramic imaging system, PLA3.0 intelligent parking assist system, DLA dynamic light assist system, ACC adaptive cruise control system with stop-and-go function, Traffic Jam Assist system, Lane Assist system, Front Assist forward protection system with pedestrian recognition, Pre-Crash preventive occupant protection system, BSD blind spot monitoring, and intelligent fatigue detection.
