The Wuling Hongguang PLUS is a newly developed product based on the CN150 front-engine rear-wheel-drive platform, making it the widest platform in the Wuling brand’s lineup. It boasts high scalability and efficient modularization, offering substantial improvements in various aspects such as body structure, chassis tuning, power performance, interior space, craftsmanship, and safety quality.

The chassis of the Wuling Hongguang PLUS has been jointly developed and tuned by SAIC-GM-Wuling and the world-leading chassis development organization, Multimatic. This collaboration brings about a solid and stable driving feel, with enhancements in both driving comfort and handling stability.

Description

The Wuling Hongguang PLUS adopts a design philosophy of “parallel rectangles” and “simple and tough” design elements, along with a body surface design concept of “slightly curved.” Various combinations of parallel straight lines and folds complement the overall design style, advocating a minimalist and simplified concept.

In terms of the front face, the Wuling Hongguang PLUS features a “tripod” shaped high-gloss front grille, paired with parallel chrome-plated lines that run through the wing-shaped lens headlights, further evolving the Wuling family’s front face design and enhancing its recognizability.

On the vehicle’s side profile, the combination of parallel lines creates a sense of harmony between the upper and lower waistlines, simple yet powerful, while the floating roof design and contrasting colors add to the vehicle’s distinctiveness.

Regarding the rear, the overall styling of the Wuling Hongguang PLUS has a sense of design, with the taillights continuing the Wuling series’ vertical style. The rear spoiler and bar-style brake lights also exude a modern atmosphere. The tire size of the Wuling Hongguang PLUS is 205/65 R16.

The Wuling Hongguang PLUS is available in four colors: Qing Shi Lan (Blue), Xing Yao Hei (Star Black), Ji Di Bai (Polar White), and Ji Guang Yin (Aurora Silver). Particularly notable is the newly introduced Qing Shi Lan color, inspired by the gray-blue hue of Qing Shi (bluestone). The paint surface of the Wuling Hongguang PLUS adopts a three-layer process including nano-level colored paint, high-transparency clear paint, and clear paint. Compared to conventional processes, it adds an extra layer of high-transparency clear paint, which presents a flowing light texture from different angles.

The Wuling Hongguang PLUS has dimensions of 4720mm×1840mm×1810mm, offering a maximum cabin volume of 4.1 cubic meters within the Hongguang series. This not only provides more comfortable seating for passengers but also increases loading space, enhancing cargo transportation efficiency.

Currently, the Wuling Hongguang PLUS offers four seating layout options: “2”, “2+3”, “2+2+3”, and “2+3+3”. The 5-seater version adopts a “2+3” seating layout, with a trunk volume of up to 1606 liters. The second-row seat on the right side features a separately folding design and supports backrest folding, expanding the internal storage space to 2399 liters when folded down. The 7 and 8-seater versions feature “2+2+3” and “2+3+3” seating layouts respectively, with the third row supporting both folding and flipping modes, and a flat floor design.

The Wuling Hongguang PLUS is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, delivering a maximum torque of 250N·m, available at 2200rpm, equivalent to the maximum torque produced by mainstream 2.4L engines. Its low-end torque performance ensures easy starting, significantly improves climbing and loading capacity, and meets the daily travel and heavy-duty transportation needs of users.

With a comprehensive fuel consumption of as low as 7.3L/100km, the Wuling Hongguang PLUS offers excellent fuel economy, effectively reducing operating costs. The combination of the 1.5T engine and 6MT transmission achieves a synergistic effect, enhancing overall performance.

The Wuling Hongguang PLUS comes standard with advanced features surpassing its peers, including 205/65 R16 wheels, ABS anti-lock braking system, EBD electronic brake-force distribution system, tire pressure monitoring, and more. Higher trim models also include front fog lights, reverse radar and camera, front and rear disc brakes, and front dual airbags, providing additional safety protection for passengers and drivers alike.
