The elongation of the Rongguang isn’t merely extending the car’s body but involves upgrading the chassis technology to crucially extend the wheelbase. This ensures that the extended body and wheelbase maintain a coordinated and safe proportion. Due to the high development and technical costs, most domestic microcars undergo elongation, enlargement, or even upgrades, but often retain the same engine, leading to performance issues such as poor power, high fuel consumption, and emissions non-compliance.

However, the Wuling Rongguang is equipped with a brand-new generation of high-power B-series engines with an impressive power increase rate of 52.2KW/L. Its efficient and advanced engine, coupled with a newly designed transmission system, allows the Rongguang to deliver greater power output (with a maximum power of 60.5 KW and maximum torque of 108Nm) while maintaining low fuel consumption. The “largeness” of the Rongguang not only refers to its external dimensions but also to its internal quality and strength.

With an extended wheelbase of 2700mm, the Rongguang effectively increases interior space, ensuring a comfortable driving experience with balanced vehicle proportions. Compared to previous Wuling models, the Rongguang not only elongates its body but also sets new standards in width and height, measuring 4150mm, 1620mm, and 1915mm respectively. It has a cargo length of 3000mm, about 10cm wider than traditional elongated vans, and can accommodate up to 8 passengers, meeting a wider range of cargo transportation needs.

The Rongguang has a displacement of 1.2 liters, with a peak power of 62.5 kilowatts and a power increase rate of 52.2 kilowatts per liter, demonstrating its characteristics of high power and low fuel consumption.
