The Wuling Starry Sky, a new hybrid vehicle under Wuling Motors, features a hybrid system composed of a 2.0L engine and an electric motor, with the engine boasting a maximum power of 100 kW and a top speed of 135 km/h. The engine model and power parameters are the same as those of the Starry HEV hybrid version.

On September 20, 2023, the Wuling Starry Sky was officially announced to be on the market, offering two configurations: standard and flagship, positioning itself as a 5-seat compact SUV with hybrid power.

Description

The new car adopts a hybrid system composed of a 2.0L engine and an electric motor, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 100 kW and the motor generating up to 130 kW of power and a peak torque of 320 Nm. Due to the instant peak torque output of the motor, the acceleration of the vehicle is extremely rapid, taking only 3.2 seconds for the 0-60 km/h acceleration commonly seen in urban driving scenarios. The maximum speed reaches 135 km/h. It is worth mentioning that the official statement indicates that the Wuling Starry Sky does not require external charging, addressing the issue of charging difficulties for some users.

The Wuling Starry Sky has a maximum climbing slope of 30%, far exceeding the national average of 11.4°, giving it performance comparable to that of a 2.0T petrol engine. The electromagnetic DHT transmission provides 4 times the electromagnetic control speed of traditional transmissions, achieving lightning-fast starts in 0.1 seconds and precise shifting without hesitation, making it adept at both city driving and high-speed overtaking.

The Wuling Starry Sky is equipped with a 2.0L Atkinson engine and innovatively applies full-scenario intelligent automatic frequency conversion technology. This technology can automatically identify different road conditions such as plains, plateaus, and mountain roads, and adjust the engine’s start-stop, fuel injection volume, and speed according to scene parameters to achieve the most suitable driving effect for that scene.
